P365 :: {week four}

Day 22: So much for the key to HAPPINESS being {simple}. Here's to something else I'm stressing over in my life. My work schedule. Wish I lived closer to my family!!

Day 23: Working on gaining a customer or two, maybe even three. :) Goal No. 12 is to book at least five sessions by April 2012. Hopefully this mini-shoot helps. :)

Day 24: Worked all day, spent some time with Ashlyn! Now having a cup of coffee and working on Steph Garcia Photography. Again!!

Day 25: Today was just a blah day. last couple of days actually. Movie 50/50 and then off to bed.

Day 26: Yum Yum! Pancakes for breakfast today! Then to get a few things done before my work shift.

Day 27: Car intentionally drives into barber shop at the corner, AGAIN!! Someone will lose their life at that intersection before this township actually does something to help avoid all the accidents! Fifth car accident at the intersection in a year. Thank goodness everyone was okay.

Day 28: Steven and I stayed in and ordered Chinese! OMG!! I so need to (maybe) start blogging about my weight. Maybe I'll lose more than a pound a week. Having to blog about it would be my motivation. And I really need to stop ordering Chinese food  (not that its often)!

some inspirations

So I said yesterday its time for me to try (again!!) something new!! I was checking Pinterest out and here are a few inspirations.

(images from Pinterest)
I am so excited to get my hands on a couple patterns and buy yarn LIKE crazy!!! :)

time for something new

It's that time again! I'm going to try it again. I started knitting a little over two years ago. And ten I tried crocheting, too. I liked them both just as much, but I also found myself screwing up the knitting patterns. One wrong loop and I was completely thrown off. Needless to say, I didn't have enough patience to deal with all the yarn. But now that I'm about three years older and I'm bored and I could use a couple extra bucks, I'm thinking about trying it again and maybe adding an item or two to my Etsy shop. See my thing is that I DON'T like simple when it comes to DIY projects and wish I could go straight to difficult. But in order to get to difficult (more advanced patterns in this case) you have to ace the simple ones first.

Yea...

Not I! I will go right for the difficult pattern first. I like a challenge. First I have to find one.  :) I will sure let you know what it is I decided to make.

P365 :: {week three}

Day 15: My sister came by for a quick visit with her baby Jack Sparrow (Shar Pei). :) Isn't he just adorable!!

Day 16: Mrs. Fields Milk Chocolate Chip cookies for dinner. :( Spoiled myself cooking every night and today I'm stuckat work till 9pm!

Day 17: For someone who hasn't been able to cook (working late shift) I sure have lots of dishes in the sink.

Day 18: Finally! A home cooked meal!! Ready for this one! Cheesy broccoli, Chicken stuffing in cream of broccoli soup and Chicken thighs rubbed with sour cream with Ritz Crackers sprinkled over top. & it was YUMMY!! So beats Mrs. Fields Milk Chocolate Chip cookies.

Day 19: Not one cup of coffee, but about three is what I needed to get me through today. Technical issues in the brain department, really felt like I was about to crash while I was counting pills today. Definitely can not afford to crash while Greys Anatomy is on.

Day 20: Watched Courageous with the family. Great movie!!

Day 21: First snow of the year!

recipe :: sour cream chicken

I worked 10 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon today. :) Which means I had a home cooked meal today! Thank goodness because I don't know how much longer I could survive on cookies or NO FOOD! Dinner was GREAT!!

Ingredients:

 Sour Cream
1 pk of Chicken
1 pk of Ritz Crackers
1 stick of butter

Rub chicken with sour cream. Place chicken in an oven dish. Salt and Pepper to your liking. Crush about 20 Ritz Crackers and sprinkle over chicken. Cut stick of butter into four and place in oven dish evenly around chicken. Set oven at 350 degrees. Cover chicken with foil. Cook for 45 minutes to one hour.

I made cheesy broccoli as a side dish and ...

Ingredients:

1 can of condensed Cream of Broccoli Soup
1/3 c. of Sour Cream
1 c. of mixed vegetables

Prepare stuffing as directed on Stove Top Stuffing Mix box. Mix sour cream and Cream of Broccoli Soup with a cup of mixed vegetables. Pour Sour Cream/Soup/Vegetable mixture and stuffing into oven dish. Set oven at 400 degrees and bake for 30 minutes.

Tonight's dinner!!

I promise this is a must try!!

It was two thumbs up and it sure beat what I had for dinner the last two nights! Plus family time at the dinner table is exactly what I look forward to every night. Sure did miss that the most!

out of my norm

Well for starters I would like to thank my very few followers! :) I'm up to four (lol).. I will reach my goal slowly, but surely. But I am happy and grateful for the followers I have! :)

Now...

I am so out of my norm. For starters, I really did get comfortable and used to not working. :) I got to keep the house clean, cook, and most importantly I got to spend a lot of time with Ashlyn (& Steven).  Now I am loving my part-time Pharmacy Tech position at Rite-Aid, but I can do without the 1-9 PM shift. If I had a baby sitter it would be different, but who wants to watch a kid till 9PM (if you know of anyone willing to help me out, please let me know, ;)) Well I don't mind the later shift on the weekends cause I don't do much of anything on the weekends, but I would really prefer some morning hours Monday through Thursday. I actually miss cleaning my house, figuring out what dinner is going to be, Ashlyn and I arguing over who's getting the TV at 8PM, playing around on my blog. The list can go on and on. I just hope things don't have to change too much because I am now working & I also have school. :)

On the school note...

My start date was pushed back to February 13th because of an overlapping loan!! UGH!! Whatever that means, but it's okay because I could use the extra couple weeks to adjust to being a working individual again.

The break was nice while it lasted but its now time to get back to reality!! A couple paychecks and I can put together a budget which is No.8 on my 2012 Goal List.

An update on No. 2 on my 2012 Goal List: I have yet to pick one up and don't even crave one!! So proud of myself. & the smell of one actually turns my stomach.

P365 :: {week two}

Day8: Betty Crocker ain't got nothing on me! ;) All ready to make Ashlyn's cup cakes & cake for our little get together on Tuesday. She's going to be seven! Yikes!! :)

Day 9: Baking cupcakes for Ashlyn's classroom and a cake for 7th birthday tomorrow.

Day 10: Happy Birthday, Ashlyn (my princess)!! :)

Day 11: I thought buying Ashlyn a DS was a waste of money because she never played it after she begged me for one. Today she woke up and turned it on for some reason before heading out to school and after school she finished her homework and turned the DS on right after that, too. Now I can't seem to get her off the DS today, but its okay because she's never really on it.

Day 12: Steven's daughter Angelique came over today & is spending the night!! :) (doesn't happen often!)  Ashlyn is the happiest girl in the world!!

Day 13: Finally had the time to pick up Ashlyn's birthday gift! She was so excited! :)

Day 14: My aunt and family came down from New Hampshire & although on the 12th, we surprised her with a birthday party at my parents house. Happy Birthday, Titi Candida!! :)
